Cette commande a \u00e9t\u00e9 divis\u00e9e en 40 locomotives de type 202 et 203, particuli\u00e8rement adapt\u00e9es aux lignes pentues des Ardennes, et 55 locomotives de type 201 pour les lignes principales moins pentues de Belgique. Les locomotives \u00e0 six essieux des types 202 et 203 \u00e9taient directement d\u00e9riv\u00e9es de la \u2018forme \u00e0 nez bulbeux\u2019 d'inspiration am\u00e9ricaine, tandis que les locomotives du type 201 \u00e9taient de conception enti\u00e8rement belge. Baume et Marpent s'est finalement engag\u00e9 \u00e0 concevoir la locomotive. Le moteur d\u00e9sormais c\u00e9l\u00e8bre \u00e9tait un mod\u00e8le existant et \u00e9prouv\u00e9 de Baldwin, le type Hamilton, construit sous licence par Cockerill. La fiabilit\u00e9 et la puissance du diesel marin, combin\u00e9es \u00e0 la relative petite longueur de la locomotive, font de la 201 un loup d\u00e9guis\u00e9 en agneau, et ce dans un sens tr\u00e8s positif. Cockerill a assembl\u00e9 \u00e0 Seraing les 55 locomotives et a donc construit les moteurs diesel sous licence. La construction des caisses nues a \u00e9t\u00e9 sous-trait\u00e9e \u00e0 l'Atelier M\u00e9tallurgiques de Nivelles et \u00e0 Baume et Marpent \u00e0 Morlanwelz. Les deux entreprises ont construit les locomotives presque simultan\u00e9ment et, pendant une grande partie du processus de livraison, une locomotive a \u00e9t\u00e9 livr\u00e9e alternativement \u00e0 Cockerill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pour en savoir plus sur la s\u00e9rie 59, consultez le site <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bfoto.be\/docu\/his\/d59.php\">ici <\/a>trouver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tout au long de sa vie, la 5922 a principalement transport\u00e9 des trains de marchandises lourds, mais aussi des trains de voyageurs occasionnels. Vers les ann\u00e9es 1990, elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 vendue par la SNCB, puis achet\u00e9e par une association des High Fens : La Vennbahn. Cette association a fait faillite en 2004 et la locomotive est tomb\u00e9e dans les mains de l'Eisenbahn-Freunde-Grenzland (EFG).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En 2010, une premi\u00e8re tentative d'achat de cette locomotive unique a \u00e9t\u00e9 faite par l'organisation \u00e0 but non lucratif Tubize 2069, sans r\u00e9sultat. Quelque temps plus tard, une analyse technique a \u00e9t\u00e9 effectu\u00e9e par Eisenhban-Freunde-Grenzland (EFG) pour voir s'il \u00e9tait possible de la remettre en \u00e9tat, mais il s'est av\u00e9r\u00e9 que les r\u00e9parations \u00e9taient trop importantes. Il a donc \u00e9t\u00e9 mis en vente en 2014 pour \u00eatre mis \u00e0 la casse. Lorsque l'asbl Tubize 2069 a appris cette nouvelle, elle est imm\u00e9diatement intervenue ! Et l'a achet\u00e9 imm\u00e9diatement pour qu'il ne soit pas mis \u00e0 la casse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En 2015, l'entreprise de d\u00e9molition Wertz a fait savoir que la locomotive ne pouvait plus rester dans ses locaux. L'asbl Tubize 2069 a \u00e9t\u00e9 pri\u00e9e d'enlever la locomotive dans les 10 jours, faute de quoi elle serait mise \u00e0 la ferraille sur place ! !! Mais gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l'entreprise de transport Dick, notre locomotive a pu \u00eatre enlev\u00e9e \u00e0 temps. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l'intervention de TSP (Toerisme en SpoorPatrimonium), la locomotive a pu \u00eatre h\u00e9berg\u00e9e temporairement dans l'atelier de traction diesel \u00e0 Schaerbeek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Restauration<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En 2017, la restauration a commenc\u00e9. Avec quelques personnes de notre association et des personnes de TSP, ils se sont mis au travail sur le moteur. Les pompes d'injection et les connexions de la batterie ont \u00e9t\u00e9 v\u00e9rifi\u00e9es et r\u00e9par\u00e9es l\u00e0 o\u00f9 c'\u00e9tait n\u00e9cessaire, apr\u00e8s 14 ans d'immobilisation, cette b\u00eate est revenue \u00e0 la vie le 13 novembre 2017. (voir vid\u00e9o ci-dessous)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le 4 ao\u00fbt 2018, le b\u00e2timent de Schaerbeek est d\u00e9clar\u00e9 dangereux, ce qui l'oblige \u00e0 d\u00e9m\u00e9nager. Comme solution temporaire, elle est transf\u00e9r\u00e9e \u00e0 l'atelier de Kinkempois o\u00f9 elle restera pendant 2 ans. Le 31 juillet, elle repart, cette fois pour le mus\u00e9e ferroviaire CFB (Chemin de Fer du Bocq) o\u00f9 les travaux de restauration se poursuivent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Il s'est av\u00e9r\u00e9 que le turbo avait compl\u00e8tement gel\u00e9, de sorte qu'il a fallu en fabriquer un nouveau. Entre-temps, de nouvelles plaques d'acier ont \u00e9t\u00e9 fabriqu\u00e9es et soud\u00e9es. Le tout a \u00e9t\u00e9 soigneusement ponc\u00e9 et repeint \u00e0 l'identique de la version des ann\u00e9es 1970. Le 11 septembre 2021, le bateau est enfin arriv\u00e9 \u00e0 sa destination finale \u00e0 Baasrode. C'est l\u00e0 que les derniers travaux ont \u00e9t\u00e9 effectu\u00e9s pour le remettre en \u00e9tat de marche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le 2 janvier 2022, le moment est enfin venu de faire tourner le moteur \u00e0 chaud pour la premi\u00e8re fois, afin de s'assurer que la restauration a \u00e9t\u00e9 un succ\u00e8s, et elle l'a \u00e9t\u00e9 ! Apr\u00e8s quelques heures de r\u00e9glage des soupapes, le moteur fonctionnait comme il y a 50 ans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Depuis, on peut l'entendre rugir \u00e0 nouveau plusieurs fois par an !<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A l'association<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le <strong>HLD5922 <\/strong>appartient \u00e0 l'asbl Tubize 2069 et peut \u00eatre vue en action plusieurs fois par an sur le chemin de fer du mus\u00e9e entre Baasrode et Puurs.
